Important Information regarding Changes to Class Action Processes

Effective April 1, 2025, RBC Direct Investing Inc. (“RBC Direct Investing”) will be implementing a new class action asset recovery program (the “Program”) with a third-party service provider as part of our ongoing efforts to improve our service offering. Please see more information about the Program below and information about how to opt out.

Key features of the Program:

The Program will automatically process the proof of claim forms required when a security that is held in an RBC Direct Investing account is eligible for participation in a class action lawsuit.

The Program will allow for participation in a wider range of class actions for securities available globally.

An administration fee of 10% will be deducted by the third-party service provider from any class action settlement funds that are recovered on your behalf before the proceeds of the settlement are deposited in your applicable RBC Direct Investing account.

The proceeds of the settlement will be deposited into your applicable RBC Direct Investing account within a reasonable time after the funds are received.

Only class action lawsuits that are announced after April 1, 2025 will be automatically processed under the Program.

Opting out:

If you wish to opt out of the Program, please contact one of our Investment Services Representatives at 1-800-769-2560. If you opt out, you will receive the notice package by mail, to participate and file should you choose to do so.
